Week 1 of our 50K for May challenge is under our belts and we are better for it! Nancy and I also joined a Facebook group created by a couple of our myWW Cambridge members called 'Let's Get Moving'. The point of the group obviously to encourage one another to get up and move more, regardless what that looks like. Being part of both of these groups has definitely motivated us both to keep our activity up this week.
I am continuing to get my morning Team Body Project workouts in 5 days a week and now running almost 3k every day as well on the treadmill. If you had asked me a year ago if I was a runner I would tell you "hell no". I couldn't run 3mins let alone 30mins. I wanted to be a runner though, I wished I could do it. All I needed to do was try. I am no marathon runner that is for sure but who knows what time will bring. This week I have been pushing my run just a couple of minutes longer every day and I am now at 30mins. I couldn't be prouder of myself. Music cranked and off I go. Let's see what this coming week brings!
I find myself looking forward to my walks, which in itself is a small miracle. It's something that i do just for me. I listen my audio book on Audible and really try to focus on the moment, my breathing, and clearing my head of excess clutter. I'm increasing my daily distance slowly and am proud of my accomplishments so far.
