Best of the Month - June Bookshelf

Nancy's Best of the Month - June Bookshelf

My June book selections were somewhat sporadic in nature. Typically I know in advance the next 2 to 3 books I will read, booknerd remember, however I switched it up for June. I based my selection on choosing books that have been in my TBR pile forever, with only a couple of newbies thrown in. The result was an interesting mix of genre and storytelling.

For me there was only one that stood out from the rest ...

Killing Mind by Angela Marsons

This is a great British crime thriller series that revolves around DCI Kim Stone, who is a brilliant yet troubled woman. She heads a team of detectives that each have a backstory that we learn of throughout the series and that makes this team solid. Each entry in the series can be read alone but for me I enjoy watching the stories evolve and how the relationships grow and change. The content can be a bit gruesome but with such satisfying results and dialogue that you don't dwell on the gore.

Try it for yourself if you enjoy a good solid police procedural.

Happy Reading
