A Re-Commitment to Me

You Don't Need a New year or day to start over, only a new mindset

Well, it's time I finally put it out there instead of continuing to pretend like I'm doing great and life is grand. I've not done myself justice this 2020 year. The time and work I'd previously put in feels a bit mocked. I lost my way and its time to get back on track.

2020 wasn't a complete failure. It definitely could have been worse. Did I gain back the 50lbs I'd lost? No. But, I also didn't move forward. I allowed myself to stay stuck. I basically threw my hands in the air and said "Fuck it, This shit is too hard!".

Well, you know what? Living life 50lbs heavier was harder!

I'm done living life like it owes me something and like this journey should be easier than it is. I have 35-40lbs I still want to lose. Going into a new year doesn't magically change anything, but what does change is my mindset.

I'm ready to get my shit together. I am recommitting to WW, and my health, wellness and fitness journey. I am going to work the program so that it works for me.

I am taking this one step farther and have drawn up a Re-Commitment Contract for myself.

2021 Re-Commitment Contract

I, Nelia Santos, promise to commit to my weight-loss and fitness journey. I am making this commitment for my present and future self. I am choosing to commit to a healthier and happier life.

With every pound I lose I will:

  • Improve my energy
  • Improve my fitness level
  • Improve my confidence
  • Improve my mental health
  • Improve my overall health
I am committing to the following:
  • Tracking daily
  • 5-6 workouts per week and 1000km of walking/running for 2021
  • 80oz of water daily - small goals to reach this by end of 2021
  • Sharing my journey openly and honestly
2020 - Adios! 2021 - I've got this!
