How to combat Self-Sabotaging Behaviour

Does it ever feel that just when you think you have your life under control one tiny "blip" can set the whole thing toppling over? Thus starting the slippery slope of self-destruction. The time when you eating habits regress to that of a teenager and your exercise is non-existent.

What if there was a way we could stop this behavior in its tracks? It may be a bit of wishful thinking but we can try and work through the "blips" by taking a closer look at what triggers these actions. I recently read about the theory behind the H.A.L.T. acronym. Hungry. Angry. Lonely. Tired. One of these 4 emotions is usually the trigger for most people. If we could stop and recognize the feeling maybe we can disarm the time bomb in our heads.

Not a perfect science but I thought it was worth a try. Tuning into my emotions can't be a bad idea and so far has me taking a few moments  of thought and re-evaluating diving into that party size bag of chips!

Cheers gang!
